Sentinel is a combination of Interceptor and Program in one monthly pill.  Sentinel is only available for dogs.  The only advantage is the convenience of giving one pill per month rather than two.  It is as effective as the two drugs given separately, and offers the same protection against heartworm, intestinal parasites and fleas as do the individual drugs. 

The cost is $9.00 to $12.50 per dose.
