Advantix is a new topically-applied monthly drug from the makers of Advantage.  It offers the same well-established protection against fleas that we have come to expect from Advantage, and also has an ingredient that repels ticks and mosquitoes.  While the combination is new, both Advantage (flea control) and Kiltix (tick control) have been in use for a number of years and have proven their effectiveness.  The biggest word of caution with this drug is it will KILL cats, so if you are purchasing this for your dog and something else for your cats, you must be absolutely certain not to mix the drugs up!
